Apple has been telling us how there is nothing one can’t do on an iPhone. Everyday that goes by, that is more the case. It turns out doctors can use iPhones to diagnose strokes before it is too late. A recent study of scans acquired from Calgary Stroke Program database on iPhone demonstrated it can be as effective as a workstation for doctors.

Check out these uniquely awesome ✔️ iPhone gadgets & gizmos

ResolutionMD is the application that can help doctors get their jobs done in time. It probably does not have much use for the rest of us. At the same time, as the study has shown, apps of this nature can be a life saver.

This iPhone app allows for advanced visualization and our studies show it is between 94 pc and 100 pc accurate, compared to a medical workstation, for diagnosing acute stroke,

said Dr. Ross Mitchel, a member of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine. Dealing with strokes is a serious matter. These days doctors and professionals in the medical fields have more portable tools to use to save lives. Apparently, iPhone is not a bad tool to use here.

time is critical for diagnosing stroke and starting treatment. There are definitely benefits for doctors to have the ability to analyze and diagnose these images from virtually anywhere. We were pleasantly surprised at our ability to detect subtle findings on the CT scan, which are often very critical in patient management, using this software,

explained Dr. Mayank Goyal. ResolutionMD is a server based application. Image data and confidential information are not stored on iPhone. It offers 2D/3D viewing modes to make life easier for the pros.

At this point, is there really anything one can’t do on an iPhone?
