4 App Connected Robotic Chessboards
0Chess robots have been around since the early 1980s. Unlike those early days, the newer models run a version of Stockfish, so they can give even grandmasters a good challenge. They are made in 2 configurations: while most robotic chessboards use a robotic mechanism below the board to move the pieces, there are a couple that use a robotic arm to play the game automatically. Here are 4 app connected robotic chessboards you shouldn’t miss:

Cynus: this robot has an AI camera to perceive the board and pieces to play the game. It fits in a small briefcase and lets you play from any position with the push of a button. The robotic board is detachable.

Sense Robot AI Chessboard: this chess robot relies on a 3 DOF arm to move the pieces. It has 25 adaptive AI levels from 200 to 2900. The max level is over 3200 ELO. This robot comes with 1200+ guided exercises and 100 games.

Harry Potter GoChess: an upcoming robotic chessboard that moves the pieces automatically and works with Lichess and Chess.com. Its AI gives you hints and alerts. As the name suggests, it is inspired by Harry Potter.

Chessnut Move: Chessnut’s boards are some of the smartest we have tested. Unlike all others, this one moves the pieces automatically. It can move multiple pieces at the same time. It gives you hints with LEDs. It even has a game recorder when your tablet is not around.
