Losing your bike is not a lot of fun. It could happen if you are not paying attention though. The BikeSpike is a handy product that lets you monitor your bike’s location on a map using your phone or computer. The product has companion iPhone and Android apps. It also has a collision detection system that alerts your contacts when you are in an accident.
The BikeSpike allows you to digitally lock your bike and receive a notification if it is moved from its geo-fenced location. Users can even share their stats with others. The makers offer an open API for this device to encourage developers to create gaming and fitness apps. This exciting bike tracker is being funded on Kickstarter.
Speaking of cool products, GolfSense is one you can take advantage of to analyze and improve your golf game. You get a glove-based sensor that wirelessly transmits your swing data to your mobile device. It is lightweight and can detect the acceleration, velocity, tempo, position and posture of the device and the club. The software can divide your swings into different segments for further analysis.
GolfSense’s companion apps read your swings and provide you with feedback so you can improve your skills. Helpful recommendations are also offered to users. The GolfSense won’t make you a master in golf overnight. It does give you an idea what you are doing wrong though. It sets you back just under $130.
