Charging your phone or tablet outdoors does not have to be challenging. There are plenty of solar and emergency chargers available for these handheld devices. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could generate energy for your phone just by walking? Genneo is designed to offer you just that. It is a mobile generator that converts human motion into power for cell phones, e-readers, and even tablets. Genneo chargers your gadget as you walk and run.
Genneo will have two models: G4000 and G3000. They will have a 3400 mAh and 2900 mAh li-ion battery respectively. Using the G4000, you will be able to get 1 hour of talk time for every 5 hours that you carry the device. Shaking it will accelerate charging. This could be a lifesaver when you are stuck in the outdoors with a dead phone.
Genneo is an exciting charger for emergency situations. Both its models are weatherproof with an anodized aluminum housing and rubber end caps for shock protection. The project developers are currently seeking funding for this product on Kickstarter. You can get one for as low as $175.
