Is Swyping The Future?

Ladies and gentlemen! There is a new way to enter data into your smart phone. It’s definitely different. It could even be awkward at first. But Swyping certainly has potential. Swyping is an innovative method of typing on your phone that is going to be introduced with the upcoming Samsung Omnia II. For years, we have had to be content with physical keypads and touchscreens to enter information on our phones. Swyping allows you to type faster and more efficiently. And while it may take a bit of time to get used to, it’s certainly more convenient than typing on a mobile keypad.

TechCrunch did a video on how Swyping is faster than typing on iPhone, showing the potential for this new method of typing:

One of the biggest issues for mobile users is entering data and doing it accurately and fast. iPhone holds its own against phones that come with a physical keypad, but it’s difficult to beat Swyping on an iPhone. Since you have to swipe your fingers all over your smartphone’s screen, there could be some potential issues with this method of typing. So we won’t know for sure whether Swyping is here to say until enough people try it. Samsung Omnia II smartphone will make that happen, though I wouldn’t mind having the option on iPhone as well.

Swyping is innovative and fast, but is it here to stay? It’s tough to say, but I’ve got a hunch that we will be hearing about it for a while.

Your take: do you rather type or Swype?
