Apple is going to launch a bunch of new products in the next few months. The very first one we will get seems to be the iPhone 6. The device is expected to have a larger display, faster processor, and improved hardware components. Apple is rumored to be launching the phone in 2 screen sizes. The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that only more expensive iPhone 6 models will have a sapphire glass display. Some have even suggested that Apple might charge more for its iPhones due to increase component costs.
Sapphire displays will be durable and hard to scratch. But using it has added to the complexities of developing next generation iPhones. We will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out what Apple will have to offer as far as the iPhone 6 is concerned. The iWatch is going to make its debut later this year. We have heard all kinds of rumors about the device. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple will indeed use scratch resistant sapphire for the iWatch screen. The watch is expected to have a whole host of fitness related features. It is rumored to make its debut in November.
