plugg.ee: Smart Power Outlet That Learns
0We have covered plenty of gadgets that simply make homes smarter. plugg.ee happens to be a power outlet that you can monitor on your smartphone. It connects directly to the Internet through your WiFi network and can be controlled anywhere using a smartphone. You can use it to remotely power your appliances and do other neat things. Best of all, plugg.ee measures how much energy your devices are consuming.
This is more than a smart outlet. It also learns from how the attached appliance is used. plugg.ee will send you notifications if things are not right (e.g. your stove is left on or the refrigerator door is not closed properly). plugg.ee is powered by an open source platform (Spark). Users can run Arduino compatible code or do neat things using Spark’s API.
plugg.ee is currently on Kickstarter. The developers are hoping to raise $129k for it. Will you support it?
