Studies have shown that people are getting more comfortable with using their mobile phones to handle the majority of their calls. Vonage offers one of the most affordable VOIP phone services these days. In order to stay competitive with the likes of Skype, Vonage is putting its hopes in Time To Call. Time to Call enables iPhone owners to make cheap international calls from their iPhone. In fact, Vonage is offering free calls to 100 countries around the globe for a limited time.

Check out these uniquely awesome ✔️ iPhone gadgets & gizmos

Here is how much Time to Call will cost you:

  • 15 minutes to 100 countries for $1.99 or less
  • add 90+ countries, talk up to 15-minutes for $2.99 to $9.99
  • users are billed directly to their iTunes account (works on WiFi and 3G)

You do not have to be a Vonage customer to use this application. This service should give Vonage a better chance to compete with the likes of Skype:

Skype, the biggest name that is also in this space, came at it from a PC-to-PC space.. Were meeting in the middle at mobile. Thats where the battle will be fought over the next couple of years.

Vonage CEO Marc Lefar told AllThingsD. Getting the app to work is pretty simple to0. Just:

  • download Time to Call
  • select the country you want to call
  • click buy and make your call

Time to Call does sound like an interesting app for those of you who need to make international calls from your phone. How competitive it will be against its rivals remains to be seen.
