Apple Working on an Electric Minivan: Project Titan

We used to hear all kinds of rumors about Apple working on a smart car. It seems the company might actually introduce an electric car in the future. As the Wall Street Journal has reported, Apple has hundreds working on design of a minivan-like electric vehicle. The car is expected to have advanced batteries, in-car electronics, and seamless iDevice compatibility. Such a car would put Apple in competition with companies like Tesla, though we have heard rumors about Apple acquiring Tesla a lot in the past.

There is no guarantee that Apple will indeed introduce an electric car soon. But the size of the design team suggests the company is serious about this project. As the Wall Street Journal has reported, this project has allowed Apple to re-energize employees who were thinking about leaving the company. What do you think?
