Are you Ready for Strategic Assault?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I don’t know about you but I am an absolute sucker for strategy games. When I was a bit younger, I used to play Commandos a lot. Well. Strategic Assault is awesome for any strategy gamer. Basically, you build your forces, capture buildings, and try to capture enemy territory to achieve victory with your small army on the iPhone. The game does remind me of this classic, but for different reasons.

The menu can be better and the game can be improved in some areas but Strategic Assault is one addictive game. Good luck.

There is a new champ in iPhone Apps town!

Games have dominated the premium iPhone apps category, and the newest champ is no different. But this time, it is a hunting game (iHunt) that is on the top. Now iHunt is a fun game and very addictive, but I just wonder if the programmers got the idea for this app from former VP candidate, Sarah Palin. She was a huge hunting game, and maybe these guys decided to use the free publicity to push this application? Nevertheless, games continue to dominate the iPhone apps category.

Keep It Simple with ColorSutra App

The latest iPhone application seems to be the most useful one. At least for me. I got a confession to make. I am partially color blind, which means I can’t tell the difference between Blue and Purple. Think about it. If you are a web designer and also colorĀ  blind, you have no future in the business. I have always used sampling features that come with Photoshop and other web applications to help me out. But now I am glad that iPhone now has an app that allows you to take a picture with your camera and sample the colors in the picture.

You can also play with the color wheel till your dead tired. ColorSutra is compatible with HEX, and RGB numbers, so you can put down the number and use the color in the future. It’s a very cool application that has been updated for full compatibility with the latest version of iPhone OS. Check it out!

Avoid Speeding Tickets With Your iPhone

There are really three things in life. Death, taxes, and speeding tickets. Everyone that I know has gotten at least 1 speeding ticket in their life-time. That’s why Trapster by Trapster is a must have for every iPhone owner. It tells you when you are getting close to danger areas (areas with lots of cops) so you can bring down your speed. Now, I am not saying that speeding is the right thing to do. I just believe speeding alone should not warrant a ticket. With Trapster, there are no excuses. It should definitely reduce the number of tickets you get if you pay attention to its alerts. And best of all, it’s free!

Graph Like a Pro with Grafly

I thought Graphing Calculator was cool, but boy the new application Grafly pushes it to a whole new level. While Graphing calculator plots simple equations, Grafly graphs anything that you can find in a calculus book. Best of all, you can move around the curves with your fingers and see them from different positions. Very interesting indeed. Grafly was just released to the iTunes store (actually it was past week).
