The month of Ramadan is one of the most important periods to the Muslim community around the globe. It’s a month of fasting and praying but does have some rules too. Muslims should not eat or drink anything from early morning all the way to late afternoon. They are also encouraged to pray more to connect with their maker. Thanks to Ramadan apps for iPhone, Muslims around the globe can fast and pray more (at the right time) with less headaches.
If you are a Muslim or know someone who belongs to that community, you should give these 10 Ramadan apps a look (Updated 07/20/12):
Azan Alarm Clock: you may be fasting this month, but as far as I know (and I am not a Muslim) you still need to pray at least 5 times each day. This app helps you get up at the right time for your morning prayer.
Quran Reader: many Muslims do a lot of Quran reading during the month of Ramadan. This app can help with that.
Sun n Moon for iPhone: a GPS-enabled application that shows you sun rise/set and moon rise/set times. You have plenty of options to choose your location.
Ramadan Daily Dua: Ramadan is a month of prayers (or what they call Dua) for Muslims. This app has prayers for each day of this month.
Muslim Pro: provides you with a Qibla locator, accurate prayer times, and an Azan clock. It has something for every Muslim.
alQibla: another useful tool you can take advantage of to find the location of the Kaaba. It also offers prayer times based on various calculation methods.
Ramadan: contains Islamic material related to the month of Ramadan. It has text and audio content.
