We have known for quite some time that Apple intends to bring a redesigned iPhone to the market in the next few months. There have been a lot of rumors about its screen size. But it could have a different docking port as well. According to multiple sources, Apple will be adopting 19 pin ports in the next iPhone. 3 independent manufacturers have claimed that Apple has been working on the connector. The move is going to make many of today’s iPhone accessories incompatible with the new iPhone.

Apple has not officially confirmed this. But even leaked parts suggests Apple is making a big change to the connector. Why is Apple doing this? It is concerned with space saving in its devices. This does put accessory manufacturer in a bind. We don’t expect Apple to confirm this publicly any time soon though.

Samsung is one of many companies that are trying to come up with an iPhone killer. The Samsung Galaxy S III is certainly an exciting device. But according to Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, it won’t be able to stop the iPhone 5. At a shareholders’ meeting, he told the new iPhone will put Samsung’s device to shame. We are not sure in which area(s) though. From the rumors we have heard so far, the future for the iPhone does look bright.
