The technology world is waiting to see what Apple is up to with the iPad 3 and iPhone 5. Both of these devices are expected to be very popular. Japanese blog Macotakara claims that Apple will hold an “unusual event” to announce something this month. It was at first assumed that the iPad 3 would be the main topic of this event. But Macotakara is suggesting iPad fans should wait another months to see what the new tablet is all about.
The exact specifications for Apple’s next iPad are not known at this point. But we have heard a lot of rumors what these tablets will have inside. By now, everyone expects the iPad 3 to have a quad core A6 chip processor. The latest leak published by Boy Genius Report suggests a LTE model could be in the works as well. Some have argued that an iPad 2s model could also be on the agenda for Apple. We simply can’t confirm these rumors at this point.
Speaking of rumors, Apple could announce the next generation iPhone at WWDC. At least, that is what DigiTimes is suggesting. The event will take place in June 2012. The source of this rumor is Daiwa Securities. These folks also suggest that the iPhone 5 will take advantage of “glass to glass” touch panel technology.
One can make a career out of keeping up just with iPhone and iPad rumors. But many of these rumors have been wrong before. In the case of the next iPad, we will only have to wait a couple of months to find out.
Which are you more excited about: the iPhone 5 or iPad 3?
