We all know it’s about time Apple started working towards releasing iPhone 4G next year. We have seen enough iPhone and iPod launches that it’s become easy to predict how Apple works. But if you need some confirmation, Eldar Murtazin seems to have given it on Twitter. The editor in chief of Mobile Review had this to tweet yesterday:
So what will we get with iPhone 4 Gen anyway? Verizon may have given us some ideas with its attack ads on iPhone. It’s not too hard to predict that Apple will be addressing some of those issues. I suspect that Apple will be working hard to integrate its own map application into iPhone, so you can dream less about Google Maps Navigation (not sure if that’s possible).
It’d be nice if Apple introduced a faster CPU on new iPhone units to make them more capable of handling more resource intensive applications. Expect the camera to be improved as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if iPhone 4G finally killed Flip off once and for all.
Let’s hope also gives us a new design to work with. iPhone 3GS turned out to be a decent upgrade, but it was still not what most people were hoping for. Not when we had seen these concepts. Thanks to upcoming Android phones, Apple may go out of its way to come up with a killer new iPhone. That way everybody wins.
What are your predictions for iPhone 4.0? Please share them here. It’ll be fun to look back a year from now to see who got what right.
