iWatch: Come in 2 Sizes, Cost $1000s?
0We know the iWatch is coming. We also know that Apple is a premium brand and does not sell cheap junk. Nevertheless, nobody expects Apple to sell iWatches that sell thousands of dollars. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities is suggesting that Apple is planning to introduce several iWatch models. While most of them will be affordable, we could see a high-end version that will cost thousands of dollars.
According to Kuo, the iWatch will initially ship in two different sizes: 1.3″ and 1.5″. Both models will include flexible AMOLED displays with sapphire covers, so they won’t be susceptible to scratches. Not surprisingly, these watches will have biometric sensors and integration with iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The iWatch could have a 250mAh battery inside.
We are not going to see the iWatch until the last quarter. It will be a huge deal for Apple though. The company simply can’t afford to introduce an underwhelming device.
