12.9-Inch iPad Rumor, Apple to Buy Basis for iWatch?
0In case you missed it, Samsung has started shipping its 12.2 inch Note Pro Android tablets. Apple has been rumored to be working on a large tablet of its own but Samsung has decided to beat it to the market for now. Will we even see a larger iPad this year? Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities is not so sure. The iWatch remains the top priority for Apple this year, so the iPad Pro will have to w ait.
The same analyst suggests that it is unlikely for Apple to upgrade the iPad mini w/ Retina this year. The iPad Air will probably get a faster processor and Touch ID, which should give iPad fans enough reason to upgrade.
Speaking of Apple, the company is among those interested in buying health tracker maker Basis. Basis is up for sale, which means Google, Samsung, Microsoft, and Apple could all pounce on the opportunity to buy it. iWatch rumors suggest that the device will be a sophisticated health and sleep tracker, so this acquisition makes sense.
The iWatch seems to be the very top priority for Apple this year. The company simply needs to get it right to keep its momentum going forward. Whether the device will be able to predict heart attacks and its other features, are not certain at this time.
