For a lot of Apple fans, today feels like Christmas. After all, today’s the day people can get their hands on iPhone 4 without having to wait till July for Apple to ship one to them. A huge number of people are expected to participate in today’s “camp out & stand-in-line ritual.” Those who get there very early have a better chance of getting their phone and getting out of there fairly quickly. Lines could get ugly indeed. Let’s face it. Today’s event could crush any records Apple has set in the past. People may even have to check multiple stores to make sure they do get their hands on their iPhone (as was the case with the previous iPhone launch).
The bad news is white iPhone is not going to be available anytime soon. If you are willing to wait to get it, that makes it even more special. It is going to be a long wait though. The rumors about FedEx having issues tracking iPhone deliveries have not been encouraging to iPhone fans.
I do agree that iPhone 3GS owners are better of selling their device to get some of their money back. Those who are selling their phone need to make sure their iPhones are wiped clean of any personal data they may have stored on them. Websites such as eBay can help you sell your device. You can also buy iPhone 4 on eBay though the markups are quite high.
Your turn: please share your experience from your Apple store. How long was your line and how long did you have to wait in line (or you can just join our chat)?
