Apple is working on an iWatch. It is not clear when the company will go ahead and announce the device but wearable devices are going to play a role in its future product strategy. You don’t have to wait for the iWatch to get your hands on a decent looking smartwatch. We have already covered a few nice iWatch alternatives here. The Kreyos Meteor is a new watch that pairs with iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone 8 devices.
The Kreyos Meteor is an interactive watch that lets you use voice and gestures to control your smartphone. You can wear it on your belt, bike, or wrist. The Meteor watch has waterproof design and features a smartphone and speaker. After syncing your gadgets, you will be able to answer calls, reply to e-mails, set up alarms, access certain applications, and more. Meteor’s 3-axis gyroscope supposedly makes controlling it easier. This product is going to have its own SDK. The idea looks exciting on paper but we have to test the watch to see how it works, For now, the Meteor watch is being funded on Indiegogo.
Speaking of cool products, Heard for iPhone is a handy voice recorder that turns your device into a time machine. How so? By letting you capture sounds from up to 5 minutes in the past. There is no real magic involved. Heard runs in the background and records important events. When you need to know what was said up to 5 minutes in the past, you can refer to Heard to get the recording (or the buffer gets erased). Each clip can be associated with a photo which is nice. Heard is free to try but the full version costs you $2.
