iPhone 3.0 On The Way

First it was iPhone. Then it was iPhone 3G. Now, it seems we will be getting iPhone 3.0 with new bells and whistles. It’s not a surprise to hear that when we already know the changes that are going to be made to the iPhone platform with iPhone OS 3.0. The rumors have sent the geek nation into overdrive and people are searching through Apple codes to find out if there are any references to new products. It turns out we are looking at 4 new products:
- iPhone 3.0
- iPod Touch 3.0
- iProd
- iFPGA
The first two are pretty self-explanatory. But the other two are kind of difficult to figure out. There are lots of rumors out there, and it’s not easy to figure out which one is actually true. We do know that Apple is planning to release a netbook. So, my suspicion is that one of those last two is for Apple’s upcoming netbook. There were a few rumors about an Apple e-book reader, but I just don’t see it. Apple is a big picture company, and I don’t believe they are the type of company that commits to a one-trick pony device. One thing is certain. Apple competitors are going to have many sleepless nights until all the plans are revealed to the public.
