iPhone 5S w/ A7 & Fingerprint Sensor, iOS 6.1.4 Jailbreak

The wait for the new iPhone is finally over. Apple is going to announce the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in a couple of days. In the past few months, we have seen a ton of awesome iPhone leaks. The latest one by CtechCN pretty much confirms what we have expected all along: the iPhone 5S has an A7 processor and a fingerprint scanner.

The iPhone 5S is going to have the same screen size as the previous iPhone but better hardware inside. The device will have a better camera and solid battery life too. The above iPhone 5S specifications table could be fake but does not include anything that raises a red flag for us.

iOS 7 may look great but it is still a closed operating system. Many folks will still want to jailbreak their device. Many iPhone/iPad users have successfully jailbroken their devices thanks to the Evasi0n jailbreak tool. That was disabled by Apple a while ago. It looks an iOS 6.1.4 jailbreak is now available. Developer Winocm seems to have managed to run Cydia on an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4.

While you are waiting for the untethered 6.1.4 jailbreak, you should stay away from iOS 7 and other updates that Apple might offer. That is until developers find a way to hack newer iOS releases. We are not sure how long that will take.
