Apple is reaching new heights with its tablets each and every year. The iPad 2 was not a huge upgrade over its predecessor but still sold like hot cakes. The new iPad offers enough improvements to excite tablet fans. In fact, Apple sold over 3m iPad units in the past weekend. That triples iPad 2’s results. The number does include pre-orders though.

The new iPad’s screen has generated quite a lot of buzz in the tech world. Many experts call it one of the best tablet displays ever made. The iPad is not perfect though. There are many areas in which it can be improved. It is not surprising that most stock analysts expect Apple to keep going higher.

The iPad is not the only device that Apple is launching this year. The iPhone 5 will debut later this year. Apple is also planning to bring an Air-style MacBook Pro to the market. According to Digitimes, the new MacBook Pro is already in production. We have heard a lot of rumors about a 15-inch MacBook Air coming this year. That could replace the current 15 inch MacBook Pro line-up. We will have to wait till April to find whether these rumors are true.
